Dr. Monte Oyd Harris is a board-certified otolaryngologist with advanced fellowship training in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. A surgeon, scholar, and entrepreneur, Dr. Harris is devoted to exploring humanity with an aesthetic compass. He was the Co-Founder and creative visionary behind Cultura, the first cosmetic medical spa integrating dermatology, plastic surgery, and spa therapy with niche expertise for individuals with skin of color. Dr. Harris has a particular interest in the civic legacy of African American barbershops and churches; and how these cultural spaces can be reimagined in the 21st century to help people, particularly those at greatest risk of poor health, live healthier and more fulfilling lives.
Lisa Lynette Harris is the brand muse and proto-hair goddess. At a time when beauty culture is characterized by excessive and sometimes harmful cosmetic procedures, Monte and Lisa stand out for pioneering a holistic approach to well-being at the intersection of self-image, health, heritage, and the built environment.
