AMODAOS emerged from Dr. Monte Oyd Harris’s decades-long engagement with medicine, culture, and the inner life.
As a board-certified facial plastic surgeon, Dr. Harris has spent years caring for the head and face, witnessing firsthand how physical health, identity, confidence, and belonging are deeply intertwined. Over time, his clinical practice revealed that healing extends far beyond procedure. Some of the most meaningful transformations occurred through listening, ritual, and care delivered within environments where people felt seen, heard, and held.
Alongside his medical work, Dr. Harris’s scholarship and lived experience within Black cultural and spiritual traditions deepened his understanding of how space, aesthetics, and communal practices shape consciousness and well-being. These insights led him to question conventional separations between medicine, beauty, spirituality, and design.
AMODAOS is the result of this inquiry. It reflects Dr. Harris’s belief that the head is a sacred site, that care is a cultural act, and that true wellness emerges when science, ancestral wisdom, and meaning are brought into alignment.

By deconstructing the walls that separate mind from body and science from spirit, AMODAOS opens new possibilities for health, balance, and communion. Through the Arkitetcure of Self, wellness becomes a built environment for the soul — a living structure shaped by care, clarity, comfort, and continuous renewal.

AMODAOS exists to restore wholeness by deliberately designing culture, care, and lived experience. We work at the intersection of aesthetics, medicine, spirituality, and Black cultural knowledge, guided by the belief that our designed environments and rituals directly shape how people heal and become. We offer an arkitetcure of self that builds vessels for longevity, inner balance, and communal harmony. Our work is for those who seek to live consciously, beautifully, and who view health as a cultural responsibility.
1. THE HEAD IS SACRED. We honor the head as the site of reflection, balance, identity, and destiny. Every product, space, and experience is designed with reverence for the mind.
2. CARE IS A CULTURAL ACT. Well-being is shaped by history, ritual, belief, and community. We center lived experience and ancestral knowledge alongside clinical expertise.
3. WHOLENESS OVER FRAGMENTATION. We reject approaches that separate body, spirit, beauty, and health. Our work designs for integration across mind, body, and environment.
4. BEAUTY WITH GOODNESS. Beauty carries purpose and responsibility. We use aesthetics to support dignity, balance, and restoration, never excess or harm.
5. STRATEGY AND SOUL ARE CONNECTED. Thoughtfulness becomes a form of care, fusing the poetic and tactical.
6. ANCESTRAL WISDOM, MODERN SCIENCE. We bring ancient healing traditions into conversation with contemporary medicine, research, and technology.

AMODAOS operates as an interdisciplinary platform for cultural architects, welcoming collaborations across art, design, and research. Our culture is built on intention, symbolic fluency, and a belief in systems over isolated gestures, ensuring our external partnerships and products reflect the brand's true meaning.
We view health as a cultural practice and our design philosophy as an inhabitable system, capable of expanding into environments, partnerships, and infrastructures. This model supports sustainable growth and keeps AMODAOS legible, extensible, and whole.
AMODAOS means “Love God,” derived from the Latin amo (to love) and Deus (God). The name reflects a devotion not only to the divine, but also to alignment — between body, spirit, culture, and consciousness.
The AMODAOS mark represents a passage beyond material limitation toward self-realization. It unites Ancestral wisdom (A) with MODern technology (MOD) to form an evolving Arkitetcure of Self (AOS)—a framework through which individuals and cultures regenerate, adapt, and flourish.
The seven-letter structure of AMODAOS references universal systems of balance and well-being found across cultures. At its center is the letter D, signifying Divine Order—the organizing intelligence that restores coherence and activates our innate regenerative capacity. Accented through red, this center point signals vitality, protection, and life force.
