Dr. Harris was selected as an Inaugural Historically Black College and University (HBCU) Fellow for the new AIA Academy of Architecture for Health (AAH) and American College of Healthcare Architects (ACHA) initiative - Expanding the Healthcare Design Community: Making Healthcare Design More Inclusive Through HBCU Engagement.

The HBCU Fellowship Initiative recognizes that the rich history, cultural understanding, and diverse perspectives of HBCUs are essential keys to unlocking a more equitable and inclusive future for healthcare design. AMODAOS participates as a cultural and interdisciplinary contributor within the HBCU Fellowship Initiative, supporting dialogue at the intersection of health, design, and equity.
